From Youth to Future: Sustaining Environmental Values for Generations
In Matibi, Zimbabwe, we empower young people to protect nature, inspire their communities, and pass forward a legacy of environmental responsibility through sports.
Who We Are
Ecowise is a community-driven initiative from Matibi that combines sports, self-learning, and sustainability to transform lives. We use sports as an entry point, but our real goal is to nurture young people who actively care for the environment, gain practical skills, and create eco-social enterprises.
What Drives Us
Our Guiding Principles
Innovation
We believe every challenge is a chance to learn, adapt, and create new eco-enterprises.
Youth Leadership
Young people are not passive dependents. They are leaders, innovators, and the drivers of community transformation.
Sustainability
We protect and restore the environment while building resilient livelihoods for future generations.
WHAT WE DO
Our model goes beyond training or one-time projects. We blend sports, eco-skills, and entrepreneurship so that impact lasts long after the game ends.
Sports + Environment
Teams score goals on the pitch and in their environment by planting trees, recycling waste, and building eco-gardens.
Hands-on Eco Learning
Through our Ecowise Hub, youth learn water harvesting, permaculture, recycling, and eco-entrepreneurship — skills that match real challenges.
Eco-Social Enterprises
Our beneficiaries don’t just learn; they build businesses. From eco-bricks to solar installations, they turn problems into income and solutions.
